Paper Globes

I'm really loving Heather Bailey lately. I love her fabric and her style. She has such good ideas on her blog. I just love these paper globes. As I recall, I think they're fairly easy. They'd be cute in so many ways; as a topiary, all strung together, in a bowl, as ornaments, etc, etc. Now if I can find the time to make all of these cute things!!

Baby Toy

How cute is this baby toy?! I might just have to buy the pattern and make it. I cannot wait to come home for Christmas and buy some Amy Butler fabric for this and other projects I have up my sleeve!!!

My sister found this picture for me and said that I should do this to my kids room. I think it's so cute! What a great creative way to decorate a child's bedroom wall! I love it!!!

Table & Chair

I LOVE accent pieces of furniture! They just bring so much life and character to a room. They make a room personal and more interesting. When we got married we were very fortunate to inherit a bunch of furniture. Although it's older furniture and not necessarily my "dream" furniture, we have been so grateful to have been given so much.....for free!! But the more I'm around it, the more I want a change, a face lift. We were 2 of the following chairs. Over the years the color has faded and because of the light color they show the dirt. I think they're good chairs in good condition, they just need a face lift...
I keep debating if I want to reupholster the chairs or just make slipcovers for them. I know this picture is on my other blog, but I LOVE the slipcovers on these chairs! I think they'd look so cute pared with a solid color sofa. The more I think about it and the more comfortable I get with my sewing machine, I think I'm going to make slipcovers for the chairs. I just think it would be easiest. Now if I can only find this beautiful fabric...
I also have this side table in my living room. Lets be honest, this brown is not my favorite furniture color. It looks old and dated. But, like the chairs, it was free. Who's gonna turn down free furniture?!
I've been debating what color I want to redo this table in. The more I think about it the more I want to do it in a bright blue. I've seen bright blue done in a few friends houses and I LOVE it! It looks so fresh and fun! I'm not quite sure what shade of blue I'm going to do it in yet. I like the blue table in the picture above with the slipcovered chairs. I also came across this blue table on a friend's blog and LOVE it!

So tonight we went to The Home Depot to get some paint chips. Now it's time for the big decision. What shade of blue will I choose?!! I also bought a sander, so I guess I'll focus on first things first and get the puppy sanded down. I'll keep you updated on what the final products look like...that's when I find the time to do them! I guess I don't feel as nervous to do this to the table because it was free.

Crochet

Something I really want to learn how to do is to crochet. I came across these adorable crocheted shoes and hats on etsy.com. How cute would they be on a baby or little kid?! So cute! I wonder how hard it would be to make. Hummm. I'll have to ask around!!

I swear we'll be broke if we ever have girls! Ha! I'll want to play dress-up with them all the time. A girl has to accessorise, right?!!! Just for saying that we'll have all boys! And you know what, I'd be happy with that too!!!

Birds

I think if I ever have a little girl I would like to do her room in birds. I think if tastefully done, it could be so cute! I have seen a few nurseries that were done in birds that I just loved. I would also love to add some of my own touches to the room. Here's some paintings I loved. I love the use of mixed media. However I would choose to use some different words on my paintings!

Painted Letters

I came across these painted letters on the etsy website. I thought what a cute way to display a group of letter or a word. So cute!

What Inspires Me

As many of you know I love to create new things. I love art. There are so many times I come across great ideas online. I'll tell myself I'll totally remember it and I'll totally make it later. Then I forget and strain my brain trying to remember what that great idea was. So that's where this blog comes into play. I wanted to have a place where I could keep my ideas and hopefully some day get around to making some of them. And that's what this blog's about!
